Madison Public Library
Therapy Space, LLC in Madison, WI hosted Erasing the Distance for a community performance at the Madison Public Library that focused on mental health issues in women. Five of ETD’s actors performed stories that touched on topics such as depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, substance abuse, and sexual assault.
The response was tremendous. Over 150 people attended the performance, and the talkback afterward – moderated by ETD Executive Artistic Director Brighid O’Shaughnessy and Therapy Space clinicians Jamie Pekarek Krohn, LPC, Brenda Heideman, LCSW, and Amy Thomas, LPC – was a deep, robust conversation that continued long after the performance.
Therapy Space’s Amy Thomas, LPC, offers a video testimonial about her reaction to the ETD performance and why she thinks the show is so important for the residents of Madison.
We were thrilled to be part of such a special evening, and look forward to performing in Madison again in the future!
