Learn More About this Event:
Board Member Tony House ran a marathon 5 years ago to raise funds for Erasing the Distance. This year, he’s supporting our work with a Golf Marathon day for “Mental Illness Awareness Week”.
“I’ll tee off as early to sunrise as possible (probably around 7:00 am) and I’ll go as long as I can. Rather than running, I’ll walk, ride and swing my way through the day!” says Tony.
Tony plans to be golfing for 10+ hours and hopes to have donations of $1.00 or more per hole. Playing regular men’s tees — 6115 yards, 70.3 rating, 129 slope. We’ll publish his scorecards, pictures, and commentary right here throughout the day on Sunday, so you can see how he’s doing.
Where: Bear’s Paw Country Club, Naples, Florida
When: Sunday, October 8, 7:00 am-???
That’s right, Tony will be golfing in Florida, off season, on a course that is sure to be hot and wet! He is putting his own exhaustion (and possible golf pride) on the line for Erasing the Distance – give generously! Show your support for raising awareness about mental health issues
